“OH YEAH!” – THE KOOL AID MAN

“OH YEAH!” – THE KOOL AID MAN

I am learning a lot about geography, farming and the importance of having a supporting community. I am also learning about the importance of letting yourself be present in a moment. The importance of letting yourself be percieved and not letting that ruin the moment. And most importantly, the importance of letting yourself enjoy life because you only have just this one.

MY HOMESTAY EXPERIENCE

MY HOMESTAY EXPERIENCE

You welcomed me into your home and accepted me into your family. You treated me like I was your daughter and I started calling you ma. You fed me the most delicious meals, you wrapped my bruises from previous adventures and you took care of me when I was feeling under the weather. I am forever grateful for you. You are the most selfless woman I have ever met.

TOROTORO DEBRIEF

TOROTORO DEBRIEF

Our first trek provided us with nearly everything we could have hoped for, including valuable learning experiences and some exciting challenges. While these are all integral parts of our program, it’s particularly rewarding to come together for a post-trek debrief where each student can share their unique perspective. Through these conversations and as a group, they offer insights into their individual experiences.

SAFE ARRIVAL IN INDIA!

Dear family and friends of the Spring ’24 PDXchange group,

The PDXchange group has arrived safely in India! They are on their way to their hostel in Bangalore where they’ll be spending the next few days for their orientation. They are ready to rest after their long travels, and look forward to learning more about the program and India in the coming days. We look forward to their updates – they will post an update about their orientation early next week.

All the best,
