Support Us

Carpe Mundi provides low-income, first-generation Portland college students with a year-long mentorship and scholarship program that includes an experiential education study abroad semester.

Since 2009, Carpe Mundi has worked with 62 low-income Portland college students, supporting them during a year an entire school year, including a semester abroad through our partner organization, Carpe Diem Education. Students receive academic and logistical support, do local internships and service work, and travel abroad to one of five locations: Central America, East Africa, India, South America, or Southeast Asia. Carpe Mundi connects students to their education in a completely different way, increasing the likelihood that they'll graduate from college and be change makers in their own community.

Carpe Mundi is expanding! We plan to reach 36 students in 2018, but can only do it with your support! Watch the video below to learn more about the Carpe Mundi student experience, and donate to our May Board Matching Campaign!

We facilitate the transformation of Portland youth into globally engaged change-makers.

Carpe Mundi partners with Carpe Diem Education, a forward thinking Portland-based operator of international experiential learning programs that sends over 180 college students abroad each year.

Thanks for supporting at the 6th Annual Auction "Time to Shine"

A huge thanks to everyone that came out to support at our 6th Annual Auction and Gala "Time to Shine"! We had a fantastic evening, celebrating and hearing from our students and alumni, listening to live music, and bidding on auction items from across the globe! Thanks to all who turned out for helping us reach our goal for the night, including our volunteers and sponsors!
