On behalf of the Carpe Mundi Board of Directors, I’m excited to share some important news with you!
After a thorough and inspiring search process, we are proud to announce that Blake Peters has been appointed as the new Executive Director of Carpe Mundi, and will take the helm full-time on September 2nd, after a series of onboarding meetings with Rachel, the team, and the Board over the summer.
Blake brings over 20 years of leadership experience in Portland as Head of the German International School, where he helped to grow a multilingual, multicultural learning environment rooted in global citizenship.
We’re excited by Blake’s proven success in growing an internationally focused organization, forging creative partnerships, and his approach to relational fundraising. He has a deep commitment to experiential and international education, and ensuring that all students can access transformational experiences. He leads with relationships and is passionate about students and their learning journeys. We are buoyed by his joyous and relatable personality. We can’t wait for you to meet him!
We are confident that Blake will lead Carpe Mundi on to our next chapter, continuing the foundational programming that Carpe Mundi has implemented for the past 12 years, while developing new models and partnerships so we can support more students moving forward. He will be working closely with our staff, board, students, and partners to build on our momentum and explore new opportunities for impact.
